I'm Bill Prin, a San Francisco-based engineer writing the AI Engineering Report newsletter and creating videos on YouTube. I'm building indie software products such as Live Poker Theory, a GTO poker training platform which I developed end-to-end across web, iOS, and Android, and Systematic FYI, an iOS flashcard app for system design interview preparation.
From the AI Engineering Report
♠️ Live Poker Theory: my most popular project, a flashcard trainer to learn GTO (game-theory optimal) poker and GTO strategy blog.Web app written in React and native app for iOS and Android written in React Native, 8000 registered users and 300 weekly active users. I also wrote a book on GTO strategy called GTO for Live Poker and have a poker strategy Youtube.
📚 Systematic FYI: an iOS flashcard app for system design interview preparation, helping engineers study for interviews at FAANG companies. This was built as part of the bolt.new hackathon, and I blogged about the development process here.
📈 Interstitch: an app for interstitial journaling, a time-tracking tool for personal productivity. It's a spinoff of a larger life logging (or, quantified self) project called Navigoals, a passion project of mine involving tracking personal analytics and feeding them into LLMs for coaching. Navigoals is currently unreleased—reach out if this topic interests you!
